Here are a few highlights from a recent garage conversion in Thorpe Astley, Leicestershire. The customers decided to convert their garage into an office as he needed space to work from home which he was unable to do now they’ve got a new born child. The customers knew a garage conversion was the way forward for them as it was the most cost effective way of adding a much needed additional room. The garage itself wasn’t big enough for their car and was only used for storage. the video below shows the transformation from a single garage into the perfect working space. Overall the project took around 2 weeks, and was a relatively simple project as the house is a new build. This project required planning permission as there is the problem of loosing a parking space After conversions, a 3 bed house is still required to have at least 2 parking spaces, and a 4 bed house needs a minimum of 3 parking spaces.
